U.S. 65

U.S. Route 65 Bridge Deck Replacements

Heaths Creek & Cedar Creek

Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program

The Missouri Department of Transportation is replacing the bridge deck over the Cedar Creek Bridge and the Heaths Creek Bridges on U.S. Route 65 in Pettis County. The Cedar Creek bridge is located just over a mile north of the Route H and HH intersection. The two Heaths Creek bridges are located just north of Route BB.

The bridges will close during construction, but work will be scheduled to allow one lane of Route 65 to remain open in each direction by rerouting one lane of traffic to the opposing lanes.

Lehman Construction, L.L.C. of California, Mo. submitted the low bid of $1,799,992.32 for the work. The bridge deck replacements are scheduled to reopen in summer 2010.

 
 
Route 765
Route 765 Resurfacing
ARRA project    Project Complete
The Missouri Department of Transportation will resurface Route 765 in Pettis County, from the railroad tracks in Sedalia to Route 65.  Work will take place during the daytime hours. The resurfacing should be complete in fall 2010.
 
 
Route E
Route E Bridge Painting at Basin Fork, Flat Creek, and Four Mile Branch
 
The Missouri Department of Transportation will paint the Basin Fork, Flat Creek, and Four Mile Branch bridges on Route E in Pettis County. Work will take place during the daytime hours. The painting is scheduled to be complete by summer 2011.
 
 
Route H

Route H Bridge Painting

at Muddy Creek

 
The Missouri Department of Transportation will paint the Muddy Creek bridge on Route H in Pettis County. The bridge is located four miles west of U.S. Route 65. Work will take place during the daytime hours. The painting is scheduled to be complete by summer 2011.
 
 
Route P
Route P Resurfacing
ARRA project  Project Complete

The Missouri Department of Transportation will resurface Route P within the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia. Work will take place during the daytime hours. The resurfacing was completed in summer 2010.

Route Y

Route Y Bridge Painting

at Muddy Creek

 
The Missouri Department of Transportation will paint the Muddy Creek bridge on Route Y in Pettis County. The bridge is located two miles west of Route 127. Work will take place during the daytime hours. The painting is scheduled to be complete by summer 2011.
 
 
Route Y
Route Y and Winchester Road Roundabout
ARRA project  Project Complete

The Missouri Department of Transportation is constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Route Y and Winchester Drive in Pettis County. The intersection is closed to traffic during the work, but a temporary bypass between the two roads is available for emergency vehicles and school buses. Construction is scheduled to be complete in early summer.

Emery Sapp and Sons, Inc. of Columbia, Mo. submitted the low bid of $351,814.35.
